Why choose us

We don’t just offer a helping hand in the form of a loan. You’ll also benefit from simple saving tips and a free personalised FinFit budget planner to help you improve your finances. What’s more, we’re responsible lenders, which means we’ll only lend if we know you can realistically afford an employee loan from WorkLoan and that it will not be financially damaging to you.

We’re authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, the UK's financial services regulator and members of the CCTA.

How it works

Whether you decide you want a free personalised FinFit budget planner to help you save monthly, or a salary advance in the form of a loan, your employer must be signed up to our services. If you apply for a loan with us, you’ll automatically get the free budget report.

We’ll need an Open Banking connection to categorise your spending to create your personal budget report and, if you decide to apply for a loan, to perform affordability checks to make sure we’re lending to you responsibly. We’ll only have read-only access (so we cannot make changes to your bank account). Your information will be protected using 256-bit encryption (the same encryption level used by banks), and it will not affect your credit score.

Your free FinFit report

Everyone is different. That's why we start the process by looking at your earnings and your spending. For this, we require an Open Banking connection and your employer must be signed up with us. We provide you with a free report, categorising your expenses, so you can quickly see where your money is going and where you can potentially cut back. Where available we also show you national averages for each category, so you can see how your spending compares.
