There were some startling employment figures from the United States in early summer 2021. In what has been tagged ‘The Great Resignation’, some 4 million people quit their jobs in April, according to the Labor Department’s Job Openings and Labor Turnover Summary. And it seems the UK isn’t immune: a Personio study found 38% of employees are looking to change roles in the next year.
Never before has wellbeing been such a buzzword at work. The fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic has brought a whole raft of extra worries to our 9-5, from work-at-home challenges to job-loss anxieties, isolation to burnout.
